Give your idea a clearer prompt.
Work on your own task or try a fictional example. Separate the facts, unknowns, limits, and answer shape, then compare the revision.
A live workspace, in your browser.
This builder arranges the words you enter. This page does not send or save what you type, call an AI, or check your facts. Your browser or add-ons may retain information; use fictional details. A clearer prompt can still produce a wrong answer.
Practice with fictional or non-sensitive details. Keep passwords, personal information, and private work out of this workspace and any optional AI test.

Your repair, ready to inspect.
Your starting words
Inspect what changed
Removed: starting lines not in the revision
Added: revision lines not in the starting words
This is a local line comparison, not a check of meaning or truth. Reworded lines appear on both sides. It cannot tell whether a fact was lost, changed, or invented.
Check it before trying AI.
- Are the facts and unknowns accurate?
- Did the revision keep restrictions and avoid new promises?
- Could a simpler tool or a short template finish the task?
Our live AI playground is archived while its model service is offline. You can still shape, inspect, and copy a practice prompt here. This workshop works in your browser without sending your text to a model.

Four small makeovers.
Each example uses fictional notes and an editorially prepared revision. These are prepared prompt examples, not recorded model test results.
Leave an unknown date open
Prepared fictional teaching example · not a recorded model response
Before
Write a reassuring repair update. Say it will be ready Friday.
Repaired prompt
Task Write a short, friendly repair update. Facts to use The replacement part has not arrived. The ready date is unknown. The next update will be Thursday. Missing or unconfirmed The confirmed repair completion date. Limits Do not promise Friday or any other ready date. Keep the next update separate from the completion date. Answer format A short friendly message Checking instruction Use only the supplied facts. Mark unknown details rather than inventing them. If a missing detail prevents the task, ask a short clarifying question. I will check the answer before using it.
What changed: The original asks for an unsupported promise. The repair keeps the supplied facts and names the missing date instead.
Keep a number tied to its source
Prepared fictional teaching example · not a recorded model response
Before
Make this class invitation sound great. Add whatever details it needs.
Repaired prompt
Task Draft an invitation to the beginner sketch class. Facts to use The class is Tuesday in the library meeting room. It costs $12 per person. Missing or unconfirmed The start time and how to register. Limits Keep the price exactly $12 per person. Do not invent a start time, registration link, or claim about limited places. Answer format A short message with missing details marked Checking instruction Use only the supplied facts. Mark unknown details rather than inventing them. If a missing detail prevents the task, ask a short clarifying question. I will check the answer before using it.
What changed: “Whatever details it needs” invites guesses. The repair supplies the exact price and makes the unknown details visible.
Keep a restriction intact
Prepared fictional teaching example · not a recorded model response
Before
Make a welcoming notice inviting everyone to bring tools.
Repaired prompt
Task Draft a clear notice for a tool-library drop-off. Facts to use Drop-off is Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon. Hand tools only. Power tools are not accepted. Missing or unconfirmed No other facts have been supplied. Limits Keep the hand-tools-only rule and the power-tool exclusion. Do not turn the restriction into permission. Answer format Three clear bullet points Checking instruction Use only the supplied facts. Mark unknown details rather than inventing them. If a missing detail prevents the task, ask a short clarifying question. I will check the answer before using it.
What changed: A friendly tone must not broaden what is accepted. The repair explicitly preserves the original restriction.
Choose a useful shape without a new promise
Prepared fictional teaching example · not a recorded model response
Before
Reply enthusiastically and offer them a place on the team.
Repaired prompt
Task Thank a volunteer for offering to help. Facts to use The fictional club received an offer of help. No role, payment, or start date has been agreed. Missing or unconfirmed Whether there is an available role and who will follow up. Limits Do not offer a role, payment, or start date. Do not say that follow-up is scheduled. Answer format A short friendly message Checking instruction Use only the supplied facts. Mark unknown details rather than inventing them. If a missing detail prevents the task, ask a short clarifying question. I will check the answer before using it.
What changed: The original turns an offer of help into a commitment. The repair asks for a thank-you while leaving the decision with the responsible person.
One more check: a clear prompt can still get a wrong answer.
Here is a deliberately edited fictional draft, not an actual model response: “The part has not arrived. Your repair will be ready Friday. We will update you Thursday.”
Compare it with the first example’s notes. Friday is still unsupported, even after the prompt says not to invent a date. Check the answer against the source, then remove the promise. Practice spotting a planted mistake.
Have an idea for a practice case?
You can enter your own idea in the workshop above. To suggest a fictional example for this site, open an email to Tinker & Tokens. Describe the task, the confusing part, and a made-up example. Leave out personal details, customer records, passwords, and private documents.
The workshop does not send an idea to us. The email link only opens your mail app; you decide what to include and whether to send. Suggestions may be reviewed for future lessons, with no promise of publication or a reply time.
