What do the links at the top mean?

A link takes you to another page. The links at the top give you these choices:

  • Start here — follow the four short lessons from the beginning.
  • Everyday uses — find small, practical jobs you could try with AI.
  • AI tools — meet examples of outside AI apps and learn how to choose one.
  • Explore more — find news, detailed activities, and the separate children’s area.
Google

Google adds more links to AI Search. Open the source.

The changes mix source-link rollouts with tests of official-page and creator links, so availability varies.

Sources checked 2026-10-15. Access and availability can change.

What is changing

Google says it is adding more inline links, more often higher in AI responses. It is also starting to expand timely-article and news carousels to additional places and languages, and making related-article links more prominent at the end of some responses.

Some features are tests

A dedicated section highlighting one or two official pages for a task is being tested. Google also says it started testing clickable publisher and creator names on video results in AI Mode this week. These announcements do not establish that every feature is available to every account or in every region. We have checked the source, but have not tested the new interface.

Our take

Editorial analysis: a visible citation gives you a useful next step, not a guarantee that the answer is correct. Open the source, find the passage supporting the claim, and check its date and scope. For an account or application task, confirm that the destination is the organization’s actual website before entering information.
