Reporting for organization admins

Anthropic’s October 29 notes introduce a Usage and Cost Analytics API beta for Console and Enterprise organizations. Existing usage-and-cost APIs are labeled legacy but remain supported. [1][2]

Console access needs an admin credential; Enterprise access uses an Analytics API key after organization enablement. The documentation says data is typically refreshed within four hours, can take up to 24 hours, and may be revised until about seven days after month-end. Check data_refreshed_at rather than assuming the latest activity is included. [2]

Our take

For experienced technicians, treat a delayed report as accounting evidence, rather than a real-time spending stop. Set permissions and separate spending controls deliberately. We reviewed docs without calling the API.
