Check the apps attached to a scheduled task
Claude Code, Anthropic’s coding assistant, now warns when a newly scheduled cloud task receives connectors you did not request, with guidance on removing them. Connectors link an assistant to outside apps and services. This is one of the changes Anthropic lists for version 2.1.317. [1]
Two narrower controls
The release also adds a confirmation before a web or shell tool sends your account email address over the network. A shell runs computer commands. The stated check concerns that account address; it is not a promise to detect every kind of personal information. [1]
For experienced technicians, the Agent SDK—the toolkit for building agent software—adds an optional onFailure: "block" setting for hook callbacks. A hook runs a check or other code around an agent action. This option stops the action when its callback fails; it is not described as the universal default. [1]
Our take
Imagine asking a coding assistant to check a shop’s website every Monday. An unexpected connection to another work app deserves attention before the next run. Review the task’s attached apps and remove anything outside its purpose. A warning is useful only when someone acts on it.
Before updating, note the installed version and keep a copy of important work. Afterward, use fictional details to check the particular approval your workflow needs. SDK users should decide whether a failed check must stop the action. We have reviewed the notes, not installed or tested this release.
