Pro allowances rise. Check which tier you have.

Work and Codex increases differ between Pro 100, 200, and 500.

The Pro 200 distinction matters

OpenAI’s October 29 notes say Pro 100 and Pro 500 now include twice their previous Work and Codex allowance. The planned Pro 200 reduction is canceled: subscribers already on its higher allowance keep it; those on its lower allowance double to match. This does not mean every Pro 200 subscriber doubles. [1]

The current Pro guide says existing subscriptions receive the update automatically without waiting for renewal; active subscribers do not need to cancel and resubscribe. Plus usage is unchanged. Work completed still depends on the model, task, and settings. [2]

Our take

For general readers, identify the plan and the allowance before changing a workflow. More included capacity does not guarantee twice as many finished tasks. These sources do not announce doubled API promotional credits. We reviewed public documentation without checking an individual account.
